3 lessons from Tim Kotsiakos
From time to time I ask some of my friends and broader network of creative leaders a simple question:
If you could offer a young, emerging designer three lessons from your career, what would they be?
Along with myself and Vito Tassone, he has spent a lot of time supporting the industry through volunteering his time and has now become one of my dearest friends.

Three lessons from Tim:
Indulge in your passion for design. Make sure you know what good design is, who is doing it and what kind of work you want to be doing.
Don’t fall in love with the first thing you design. It’s easy to do, but designing the same thing over and over again helps you develop your critical thinking.
Make the most of every experience. Even if you get criticism about your own work, see it as an opportunity to learn more. Everything is a lesson.
If you'd like to hear three lessons from a designer you admire, let me know and I'll get in touch with them. I've got a whole lot planned so keep an eye out for more lessons.
